In the maintenance of the soot blower, the power supply must be cut off and the steam line valve in front of the blower valve shall be turned off, in case the air duster gun can initiate or other electrical accidents. 

Regularly check the seals for leakage. If there is a leak, adjust the compression of the packing properly; The packing gland can be replaced if the problem is still unsolved. When the sealing ring of the hollow shaft is replaced, the V type opening should be loaded in the direction of the stem. 

If there is a leak after the valve is closed, it is indicated that the combination of the seat ring and the disc shall be worn or deformed, and shall generally be re-ground the sealing surface. The body must be replaced if the cover is damaged enough to be insufficient to solve. 

Grease the oil regularly. The decelerate box is once a month, starting arm and copper sleeve once a week. 

The air duster gun should be disintegrated once a year, often check the stroke switch and regularly clean up the soot on the blower. 

If the load of the motor is too heavy, check that the ash gun is bent. If bending should be taken out straighter in time.
